Vey is open and technically still in milk since she still nurses her 8 month old baby, but probably not worth milking until freshened again. She had very little milk stand training last year since she was the last one to kid. I plan to breed her to my polled/moonspotted buck Trinity Field RSF Madmartigan in early April. Go to her page to see more pictures of her and her ancestors, and pedigree info: https://www.blazingbearhomestead.net/cm-bush-farms-ice-in-my-veins

She is up to date on CD&T vaccinations, hoof trims, and de-worming.

Connie is due to kid April 10th and will be ready to go to a new home when her kids are at weaning age (sometime in June) .  She is a very elegant and dairy doe with a capacious and easy to milk out udder.  Connie easily raised twins as a FF and she started milk stand training last year. Go to her page to see more pictures of her and her ancestors, and pedigree info: https://www.blazingbearhomestead.net/u-p-pride-concessions

Sade is a 3 year old 3rd freshener, 1F with a single, 2F with quadruplets, and 3F with quadruplets.  She raises her quadruplets unassisted with milk to spare!  She is trained to the milk stand and hand or machine milking.  Sade was a bottle baby and is very friendly.  Her udder is uneven from her first freshening with a single but if you're looking for milk in the pail, Sade's your girl!  She will be ready to go around mid-July when her current kids are weaned.

Sold/Retained Kids

A record of goat kids born on our farm

Goat Sale Policy

Goats are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. To reserve a goat, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the purchase price is required. This deposit covers the cost of housing and feeding the goat while it is being held and compensates us for the potential loss of sale if the buyer backs out.

  • If the goat passes away while under our care, the deposit may be applied to another available goat or refunded in full.

  • If we, the seller, cancel the sale for any reason, the deposit will be fully refunded.

  • We reserve the right to refuse a sale at any time, for any reason, without explanation.

  • We also reserve the right to retain any goat.

To ensure the well-being of our animals, we will not sell a single goat unless it will be housed with at least one other goat. The health and welfare of our goats are our top priority.

Kid Reservations

We maintain a reservation list for kids. There is no fee to be on the list.  We will reach out to you when kids are born that match your request.  If you change your mind, or we don't hear back from you within 48 hours, we simply move to the next person on the list.  A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to hold a kid once it has been born, and the balance is due at time of pickup.  We retain the right to keep any kid of our choosing and we also retain the right to make decisions on who to offer available kids to (though we do try to stick to the order in which we were contacted to be added to the reservation list).

Health Guarantee

All goats are sold healthy and up to date on vaccinations, hoof trimming, and deworming. However, once a goat leaves our property, we cannot guarantee its health, as external factors beyond our control may affect its well-being.

All kids will be disbudded (unless they are born naturally polled), no exceptions. We do not guarantee that scurs will not develop, particularly on males.

Reproductive Guarantee

If a licensed veterinarian determines that a goat is incapable of reproduction due to a genetic defect present at birth, the buyer may be eligible for a replacement goat of equal value. A signed veterinary report must be submitted.

  • Infertility caused by environmental factors such as mineral deficiencies or obesity does not qualify for a replacement. Only goats with a proven genetic defect will be eligible.

  • This does not apply to wethers, or does that were sold under the pretense that they would just be a pet and not used for breeding.
