Aurora is a very special doe that we brought home in April of 2024 while she was heavily pregnant. She was very shy with people and had a rough coat and was a bit on the thin side. Luckily she was easily won over with treats and quality time. She kidded 3 little "mini-me's" in May and was a wonderful mother to them. Aurora has since come around to being one of the friendliest goats on the property, always asking for head scratches and attention, and she's really bloomed physically too with a nice shiny dark gold coat. I swear she's almost always smiling. Aurora is bred to freshen in March of 2025 and will be going on milk test.
Aurora brings top notch genetics into our herd, consisting mostly of Old Mountain Farm, with some excellent Castle Rock lineage on her dam's side too. Her sire's dam is Old Mountain Farm Gazelle 3*M AR EEEE 92 and there's also SG 3M AR Old Mountain Farm Oliv A SuddN *D AR 2727 (Littermate sister to SGCH Old Mountain Farm Swift-Leigh the 1st ND doe to score 93) on her sire's side! Aurora's dam is Castle Rock Circe 5*M *D AR VEEE 90 who was awarded the ANDDA Sue Rucker Bronze Juju Award in 2020 & 2022 for milk production.
